MANCHESTER, N.H.— The U.S. Army Reserve launched a groundbreaking public-private partnership with the New Hampshire East Seals Tuesday.

“The United States Army Reserve works tirelessly to provide qualified, tested, skilled and ready Soldiers to support crucial national initiatives in times of both peace and war,” said Col. Stephen Falcone, commander of the 655th Regional Support Group and representatives for the U.S. Army Reserve and Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. “Reserve members are well trained in a variety of skills critical to maintaining not only the strength and agility of the United States Army, but also the many industries and public agencies that form the backbone of the American economy.”

Easter Seals New Hampshire Veterans Count Club Board of Directors also attended the ceremony to celebrate the beginning the partnership which ties into their mission.

The club finds solutions to health and social service gaps that exist for veterans and their families throughout New Hampshire by connecting them to community-based support, family support sessions, direct services including medical and vocational services and an emergency spending fund.

Since Easter Seals launched Veterans Count in 2006, more than 600 veterans and their families have been served. Easter Seals Care Coordinators are currently managing more than 350 individual cases pre-deployment, deployment and upon returning home.

“Easter Seals New Hampshire employs, or seeks to employ, members of the Army Reserve and maintains a deep commitment to hiring and supporting the brave men and women who protect and defend America,” said Larry Gammon, president of Easter Seals New Hampshire and CEO. “These Warrior-Citizens have a well-earned reputation as exemplary employees with proven leadership, teamwork, discipline and grace under pressure that are immeasurably valuable to Easter Seals.”
